Uew Osis or Uew Sip is a student portal created by the authorities of the University of Education Winneba for students to perform academic activities.

The Online Student Portal is created for formal and prospective students to create an account or log in to perform certain academic processes easily such as;
- Course Registration,
- Checking results (sip results),
- Fees payment,
- View academic calendar etc.
University of Education Winneba students can visit the osis sip portal and with their username and password and log into their accounts.
For new students who wants register a course, visit the Student Portal on http://sip.uew.edu.gh.
As a first-time user, enter your 10-digit index number as your Username, and the same index number as your password, then click Login.
Following the instructions on the screen, change your password and sign back into the uew sip portal with your new password.
NB: you can only register your courses when you have changed your password from the index number to something new.
Click on “LOGOUT” when you have completed your registration.

If you forget your password, click on the “Forgot your Password?” link and request for a new password by entering your username.
Meaning of SIP and OSIS
OSIS as an IT term stands for Open Source Information System.
SIP on the hand is a networking term and stands for Session Initiation Protocol, but in terms of students portal, it stands for Student Information Portal.
As a network term, it is a signaling protocol used for initiating, maintaining, modifying and terminating real-time sessions that involve video, voice, messaging and other communications applications and services between two or more endpoints on IP networks.

erisip which stands for Enterprise Resource and Integrated System [Student Information Portal], is a new portal with a much better and beautiful interface for uew students.
It is a robust system making University information management and access extremely easy and flexible.
Students on all campus (Winneba, Kumasi, Mampong, Ajumako)can sign in with their uew credentials.

Uew Kumasi Campus students can also access the student portal via the same link on the uew website.
If you’re a Kumasi campus student, all you need is your username and password to log into your system.

A brief look at University of Education Winneba (UEW)
The University of Education Winneba (UEW), founded in 1992 is a University in Winneba, Central Region of Ghana with an aim to train teachers for the education system of Ghana.
With a student population of over 30,000, the University of Education, Winneba has been consistent with its mission to train competent professional teachers for all levels of education as well as conduct research, disseminate knowledge and contribute to educational policy and development in Ghana and beyond.
The multi-campus university has twenty-nine academic departments and centres, seven faculties. It also has 18 distance education regional study centres throughout Ghana.
The Winneba Campus is the main campus of the University of Education, Winneba. It has three sub-campuses: the North, Central and South Campuses.The central Administration is currently located at the North Campus.
In addition to three campuses in Winneba where its administrative office is located, the University has three extra campuses in addition to over 20 study centres: The College of
- Technology Education – Kumasi Campus.
- The College of Agriculture Education – Mampong Campus.
- The College of Languages Education – Ajumako Campus.
The three sites in Winneba now referred to as the Winneba campus is the seat of the Vice-Chancellor with satellite campuses at Kumasi, Mampong and Ajumako.
UEW Kumasi campus
The Kumasi campus branch of uew operated initially as a department of Kumasi Polytechnic.
It became one of the seven Diploma Awarding Colleges when it was affiliated to the Institute of Education of the University of Cape Coast in 1977. This was as a result of the restructuring of Ghana Teacher Education programmes.
Following the educational reforms in 1992, the College became part of the University College of Education of Winneba (UCEW) in 1996.
Integrated in 1996 as one of the constituent colleges of the then University College of Education of Winneba (UCEW), the College is the only tertiary institution mandated to train technical and vocational teachers for the Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.
The College runs academic programmes leading to the award of diploma, degrees, masters, and doctoral degrees. COLTEK offers major programmes in business, technology and educational studies.

Ajumako Campus host the College of Languages Education. It currently has two faculty, the Faculty of Languages Education and Faculty of Foreign Languages Education and Communication.
The Mampong Campus of the University of Education, Winneba host the College of Agriculture Education. It is located 51 kilometres to the north-east of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

University of Education, Winneba (UEW) offers over 147 courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
These programms run under regular/full time, distance, sandwich, evening programms and part-time. These courses are ran on any of their campuses.
