Udsm Aris is an Academic Registration Information System (ARIS) that holds all the information relating to students and their studies at the University of Dar es Salaam.
The University of Dar es Salaam (Udsm) is the oldest and biggest public university in Tanzania. It is situated on the western side of the city of Dar es Salaam, occupying 1,625 acres on the observation hill, 13 kilometers from the city center.
As a student of Udsm, it’s important to create and log into your account to perform vital academic activities just like any other student portal like Udom sr.
How to log in to udsm aris
To log in,
- Simply click on the portal link aris2.udsm.ac.tz,
- Enter your username
- Enter your password
- Click “Login”.
Students are to use their registration number as their username. If you’re a first-time Aris user, use your surname in uppercase letters as your password.
You’re however advised to change your password immediately you log in successfully as a first-time user. Ensure you keep this password as long as you use Udsm student portal.
What does Udsm Aris do?
ARIS allows Staff and Students of UDSM to manage their management tasks online. Here is an example of what ARIS can do:

Forgot my password
When I log in and click course registration, list of courses not found
That’s very interesting. Please contact the IT team of UDSM to resolve this issue. It could also be that, you haven’t yet paid your school fees.
I’m late to change my password from when am using surname till now and it challenge me to see the examination results and when I want to change the password it make difficulties

Hi Rashid,
Unfortunately, UDSM does not have a clear way to recover your password. The best way to get help is to email the authorities via aris@udsm.ac.tz and explain your problem to them.
