The Ekurhuleni East College (EEC) is one of the most successful TVET Colleges in South Africa in delivering Vocational education, Skills development, and Artisan orientated courses.

Located in Gauteng, EEC has over 1038 students and offers a mix of NCV, Artisan, and Short Skills programs, Report 191, Pre vocational Learning Programmes, with the NCV programs being the major offering.

Application and Admission

There are two ways to apply for admission at Ekurhuleni East College. These are Online applications and Walk-in Applications.

Online Application

The purpose of online application is to provide early provisional registration to new intakes (students), standardize and also expand the enrollment process within the College.

If you want to apply online at Ekurhuleni East TVET College, follow the steps below.

You need to have an email address
You need internet access
Look for student portal login/application and click on it (website: www.eec.edu.za)
Click on interest studying here
Populate information

You will be required to populate subjects and the symbols for the highest grade passed.

The following documents are needed to apply online.

ID copy/certificate of the applicant
Results
Proof of address
Parent/Guardian ID Copy
NB: All documents must be certified.

Walk-in Applications

All prospective students will undergo a compulsory selection process. The Ekurhuleni East College will administer a selection and placement/assessment test as this would assist in the correct placement of students into relevant programs.

This is to ensure that prospective students are placed in an appropriate program of which they have the necessary capabilities, and will also enable the College to identify those learners requiring additional support.

No student will be accepted or admitted into Ekurhuleni East College without undergoing the placement test process.

The selection and placement test is also used to identify a student who may require onward referral or learning and academic support.

The placement test is divided into 3 sections namely, English, Maths, Placement.

The EEC Bursary Center assists the prospective student to apply for the NSFAS or other NSFAS bursary alternatives then refer him/her to the Programme Allocation.

You must come with NSFAS Required Documentation for application.

Ekurhuleni East College campuses

Ekurhuleni East College has 6 campuses which are;

Brakpan Campus

The Brakpan Campus specializes in business studies, Management Assistant, Marketing, and Financial Management Programmes. The Campus offers Report 191 Business Programmes on both a full-time and part-time basis.

Benoni Campus

The Business Programmes offered at Benoni are Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing, and Artisan Development Programmes.

Daveyton Campus

The Campus offers Electrical and Mechanical Engineering programs for both the Report 191 and NCV qualifications.

Kwa-Thema Campus

The Campus offers Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering in Report 191 and NC (V) qualifications while Process Plant Operations is offered only in the NC (V) qualification.

Springs Campus

This campus is the only campus from Ekurhuleni East College which offers a diverse variety of programs in Business Studies and the Creative and Social Sciences I.e. Tourism and Hospitality as well as ICT.

Artisan & Skill Development Centre

The ASDC offers skills training in Plumbing, Electrical, General Construction, Carpentry, Tiling, and Flooring.
