Andela is an American company backed by Chan Zuckerberg and others who invest in Africa’s most talented software engineers to help companies solve the technical talent shortage and build high-performing distributed engineering teams.
The company is offering a fellowship program which begins early 2019 for dreamers and builders with remarkable talent and limitless potential in the IT field.
The Andela Fellowship is a new kind of learning + work experience. The initial months of an Andela Fellowship involve immersion simulative training in full-stack (front-end and back-end) development skills.
After over 1,000 hours of instruction, you begin work for local or international Andela partners as a remote software developer, supported by the Andela ecosystem.
You’ll work alongside global engineering teams along the way and have access to professionals who will mentor you in your career.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.

- Andela is a full-time, four-year commitment. We recommend applying once you have graduated, stopped school, or ended other commitments.

You do not need a university degree.
